During the tricky rescue operation the young boy kept slipping out of rescue harnesses that were designed for adults.
But in a twist of ingenuity, the team lowered an Apple iPhone with a video camera allowing them to see the boy’s position.
The close-up recordings are used to better position the ropes around his small body, allowing them to pull the distressed child to safety.
The toddler was taken to hospital but sustained no major injuries.

Local villagers had attempted to pull him out by lowering a rope into the hole.
After failing to pull him out, the child was forced to cling onto the rope for around an hour while he waited for rescue teams to arrive.
A harness was eventually lowered down into the well and the boy was successfully hauled to safety. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
